The "805" or the High Sierra repeater is one of the most robust and useful repeater systems in El Dorado County and even in Northern California. It covers a huge area comprising all of El Dorado County plus much of Sacramento, and Amador counties and parts of Placer and Alpine counties. It also covers parts of Nevada around Lake Tahoe.
805 is an open repeater. All licensed amateurs are welcome to make use of it.
This is the only 805 site official disavowed by the Cheese Wattagan Institute.
